Double Locking and Auto Re-Locking Doors

Setting Double Locked Door Locks

Double locking the doors on the X Type innitiates full security of the vehicle dead locking the doors and turning on the internal movement sensor.

WARNING: When double-locking the vehicle ensure that no one (including pets) are left inside, they would trigger the internal alarm and in the event of an emergency they would be unable to escape. When double locked emergency services would be unable to access the vehicle quickly.

Note: It will not be possible to double-lock the vehicle if any door is open, a key is in the starter switch or the inertia switch has been tripped.

Activating Double Locking by remote key fob

With all doors closed, luggage compartment, and bonnet closed, press the lock button on the key fob twice within three seconds. The exterior indicators will flash once quickly then flash longer a second time as double-locking is innitiated. An audible chirp will confirm that the vehicle has been double-locked.

Activating Double Locking using the key

With all doors closed, luggage compartment, and bonnet closed, place the key in the driver’s door lock, turn the key towards the front of the vehicle and then towards the rear within three seconds. The exterior indicators will flash once quickly then flash longer a second time as double-locking is innitiated. An audible chirp will confirm that the vehicle has been double-locked.

Auto-relocking

Note: This feature is normally disabled.

You will need to contact your local Jaguar Dealer/Authorised Repairer to enable/disable this feature. This feature automatically centrally locks and arms the vehicle if the vehicle has been unlocked with the key fob and no door has been opened for 45 seconds or, if the starter remains off for 45 seconds.
