Manufacturers Specifications
Wheels and Tires
Jaguar specific tire versions are available from most high quality
manufactures, these are identified with letter J on the sidewall.
Belive it or not they are normally competitively priced compared to
non-Jaguar specific versions of the same tire.
Jaguar specific tires have been identified by Jaguar to be suited to
the particular characteristics of the Jaguar’s suspension settings
and performance, the tire rating is based on a ratio of speed and
vehicle weight.
Non Jaguar specific tires will not necessarily perform any worse
than the Jaguar specific type, and may even last longer if they are
a harder material. At the end of the day it is very much down to
driver expectations, how and where they drive. Lower-specification
tires will tend to generate higher vibration and increased road
noise also they may not perform to the same standard under different
loads.
Jaguar specific tyres have been developed to support the safety and
performance of each Jaguar model.
